Laser Skin Freckle Removal
Some people will think freckles are cute or endearing, and especially for children. They’re referred to as ‘sun kisses’ for the little ones, but for adults, freckles are generally unwanted. Some people are more likely to get them than others based on their genetics, and for these people they usually tend to permanent spots on the skin. The good news is that laser freckle removal is now an option for both women and men who want a permanent way to remove freckles.
Here at Maya Laser, we are an excellent choice for laser freckle removal in Victoria. A number of patients who’ve come in for the treatment have told us that they would have come in earlier if they’d been aware that laser skin freckle removal was available. The procedure is quite effective, though it is important to remember that it will require a few successive treatments before the skin is as clear as the individual wants it to be.
Freckle Free
The laser treatment unit at our clinic is long pulsed laser, and this type of machine is ideally suited for laser freckle removal. The upper cheekbones and nose are the most common locations for people to develop freckles, and when treating these regions your laser skin freckle removal treatment here should not be more than 30 minutes long. There is always going to be a slight bit of pain each time the laser pulses, but for most people it is only a momentary discomfort.
And of course, the benefit of tolerating that discomfort is that after a few treatments your face will be free of freckles! If blemish free skin is what you desire, our treatment is able to offer that to you and you’ll almost certainly be thrilled with the results.
A laser freckle removal treatment is also a much healthier choice for your skin as compared to some of the other popular approaches; skin bleaching and chemical peels most notably, which can result in permanent damage to the skin if done incorrectly. Be aware as well that it is common for freckles to become darker during the first day after your initial treatment. This doesn’t mean the procedure is ineffective, and you’ll likely see them fade considerably in the next few days after.
It is true that laser freckle removal is usually performed on a patient’s facial area. However, it can also be done on the neck and shoulders, which are also areas where people can get freckles from prolonged sun exposure. As a last consideration, be advised that it is best to avoid sun exposure altogether for a few months after your laser skin freckle removal. If you must be outdoors in the sun, shade your treatment area from the sun or wear an SPF 45 or above sunscreen.
