A – Taking advantage of laser hair removal technology to be permanently hair-free along your bikini line is an increasingly popular choice for women. Especially as summertime and beach season roll around each year. Obviously this type of procedure involves the laser being used close to a region of the body that is very private, and very sensitive.
The first thing we should discuss regarding preparing for this type of treatment is to be aware that the laser pulses may be more painful due to where the treatment is being applied. However, using Gentle MaxPro at Maya Laser clinic will reduce the pain significantly.
For those of you need to know how to prepare for bikini laser hair removal, the good news is that there’s not too much that you’re required to do. Rather, here is what you should NOT do:
- Do not wax, tweeze, or sugar the area to be treated for at least one month prior to your treatment
- Do not use depilatory (hair removal creams) any time in the week prior to your treatment
- Do not tan your lower body and the bikini region specifically – either naturally or with a tanning bed – for at least two weeks prior to your treatment
- Avoid using skin care products on the region in the week prior to your treatment
The most important piece of advice with how to prepare for bikini laser hair removal is to shave the region, but make sure to do it the same day that you are scheduled for your treatment. The reason for that is because the laser needs to have the hair follicle entirely underneath the skin in order for it to be able to locate it and disable it as effectively as possible.
Your laser technician will discuss your post-treatment care with you at our clinic.
