Most women will know what a Brazilian bikini waxing involves, but for those who don’t it’s a procedure where the entirety of pubic hair is removed with wax strips. This, of course, makes it a much more personal treatment and one that many women will be uncomfortable with, for pain and privacy concerns. Brazilian laser hair removal involves the same extent of hair removal, only it is done by laser and therefore provides more permanent hair removal after a series of treatments.
Brazilian laser is one of the services we provide at Maya Laser, and we’re happy to make it available to women at our Victoria skin laser clinic. It is definitely not going to be for everyone. However, if being entirely hairless in that region is something that appeals to a woman then laser hair removal technology does make that possible.
You will, of course, need to be entirely at ease with exposing this part of your anatomy during the treatment, and do also be aware that Brazilian laser hair removal is going to be considerably more painful than elsewhere on the body. As any woman will be aware, this area of the female anatomy is very sensitive and the pulse of the laser will create stronger temporary pain and discomfort during a Brazilian laser treatment as compared to others.
People in the teens and early twenties are more likely to have acne, while acne scars can be a concern for people of any age. It’s helpful to know that laser treatment for acne is always most effective when it’s given as soon as possible once the condition is well established. Our Victoria skin laser clinic is usually able to get most patients in for their treatment fairly quickly after their initial consultation for a prevention treatment or a laser treatment for acne scars.
Ready for Bikini Season
Some women prefer swimsuits that expose as much of their skin to the tanning rays of the sun. For some of these types of swimwear a Brazilian wax or Brazilian laser hair removal treatment is the only one that will do. But if there’s one area of the body where the idea of never taking a razor or wax strip to it again is going to sound good, this is it.
Further, we have the advantage of being able to offer Brazilian laser hair removal to women of most different ethnicities. Our Candela GentleMax Pro laser machine has many advantages, but one of the best of them is it is capable of providing effective laser hair removal for different skin pigment levels, from light to dark. Most laser hair removal machines struggle to work well for people with darker skin colors.
One consideration that needs to be mentioned here is that the area to be treated with a Brazilian laser hair removal must be shaved before the treatment begins. This is because the laser must be able to locate and disable the hair follicle while the hair shaft is under the skin. Being okay with having this region shaved before each of the treatments (most women will require between 3 – 5 treatments to achieve desired hair-free results with any type of laser hair removal treatment) is also required.
